Morning, Nighttime & Weekly Skincare Routine

MORNING

Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes – I just do a quick wipe all over my face/neck with one of these towlettes after I wake up in the morning. It helps to remove any leftover product or sweat/dirt from the night before. Helps give you a fresh blank canvas to start with!

ExfoliKate Cleanser – This is a super gentle exfoliant, so it’s perfect for every day use. It contains glycolic & lactic acids that refine & clear pores, as well as pineapple, pumpkin & papaya extracts that gently purify, without drying out your skin. It smells amazing!!

DermalQuench – If you’ve been following along over the past few months, I’m sure you’ve seen me rave about this product over & over! This is hands down my favorite beauty product of any kind. It acts as a liquid facelift, and trust me, it REALLY works! It lasts for around 24hrs., which is why I choose to apply it in the morning. They also make a travel size for just $25. This is great if you want to give the product a little try before investing in the full size. I also just purchased the DermalQuench + Retinol, so I will keep you updated on whether or not I notice a major difference between the regular vs the + Retinol.

Wrinkle Warrior Eye Gel – I was surprised that this didn’t get the best reviews online, but this is my favorite eye product. I’ve tried so many that are creams, and actually ended up with milia (small white bumps caused by keratin build up trapped beneath the skin) under my eyes from such heavy products. I got rid of it within a month by gently cleansing/exfoliating the area, and changing up the products I was using. I love that this is a gel based product. This makes it super lightweight and easy to work. It also does wonders for dark circles!

Wrinkle Warrior – This is actually a moisturizer + serum all in one. It’s also very lightweight, which of course I love! You can buy this product on its own, or in a set with the Eye Gel. It’s nearly a 2 for the price of 1, so definitely a way better deal if you’re planning on buying both anyway!

ExfoliKate Glow – This is a new product that I LOVE. It’s amazingly lightweight, and leaves your skin glowy, without looking oily. I will either use this or the Wrinkle Warrior (above). You can definitely use both, but I prefer to use as little product as possible to avoid feeling too heavy!

Nighttime

Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil – This cleansing oil is incredible. My friend who is a makeup artist introduced me to it, and totally sold me when I watched her remove an entire face of Halloween makeup in one swipe. It really removes everything. It also smells amazing!

Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm – This is what I used to use before discovering the Midnight Recovery (above). It also works great, but the container is pretty small, so I would go through them really fast. It is still a product I highly recommend though!

Purifying Face Cleanser – This is my favorite cleanser ever. I do actually like it better than the ExfoliKate, and will sometimes use it in the morning as well, depending on how I’m feeling. I learned in makeup school that it actually is beneficial to use coordinating products together (ie. Tula cleanser + Tula toner or Kate Somerville cleanser + Kate Somerville toner, etc.), because there actually are ingredients in them that are made to all work together. I love the Tula & Kate Somerville brands both so much, so I decided I would use both and assign one for the day, and one for the evening 🙂

Pro-Gycolic Resurfacing Gel – I really do love gel-based products! They are so much more lightweight to me than cream-based products. I always feel “cleaner” when using a gels, but maybe it’s all in my head haha! I put a pea sized amount on a cotton ball and spread over my whole face.

Wrinkle Warrior Eye Gel – This is the same eye gel I talked about above, that I use in the mornings as well. I gave the Tula eye cream a solid try, but it was just too heavy for me, and didn’t seem to ever blend in. I think the Tula eye cream would be great if you suffer from very dry under eyes! It just wasn’t the right product for my skin type.

Hydrating Day & Night Cream – This is one of the few cream-based products I use. It is extremely thin & lightweight, and does a perfect job of moisturizing, without making your skin overly oily. I tend to get very greasy with many moisturizers (I’ve tried a LOT), and have found only a select few that I love, and this is one of them. I make sure to also apply my moisturizers to my neck, for anti-aging.

Weekly

Exfoliating Treatment Mask – This mask acts as a mask, then turns into an exfoliating cleanser when you wash off. It REALLY does a great job of unclogging pores and removing any dirt. It’s my favorite cleansing mask I’ve ever used.

Botanical Exfoliating Scrub – I try to exfoliate once or twice a week, so when I don’t have time for the mask above, I’ll use this Mario Badescu scub. It’s very gentle but works AMAZINGLY! Great price point too.

Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse – Since every Saturday morning we go out and shoot blog/Instagram photos, every Friday morning I will apply this self tanner. It says to leave it on 1-3 hours before rinsing off, but I leave it on WAY longer. Like 8-12 hours haha. I want the full bang for my buck!! If I’ve gone a couple weeks without using it, I’ll sometimes apply again Saturday morning. I use this mitt to apply, for a more even coverage.

Gradual Tan Classic Everyday Body Lotion – I forgot to add this to the photo collage (oops!), but I apply this lotion about every other-every 3rd day during the week, just to maintain my color. It’s definitely not necessary, but I tend to look 10 shades whited in photos than I am in real life, so I need all the help I can get!! 😂
