I really love this delicious smoothie recipe. I usually have a smoothie for lunch, so I’ve made quite a few concoctions over time! This one is particularly beneficial for days like today – my day-after-cheat-meal -day. My stomach literally felt like it was on fire after dinner last night, so I figured this was the perfect time for my green smoothie. I’m no expert, but I do know that this combination of ingredients is 1. delicious 2. incredibly healthy 3. great for cleaning out your system to start fresh.
The most important thing to me when putting together a smoothie or juice is that all of the ingredients are organic & fresh! I’ve made the mistake of doing my produce shopping at Target before (because we had gift cards & are on a newlywed budget!), and I felt like the food wasn’t even healthy because of all of the preservatives in them. And not to mention, you could taste the amount of time they had been sitting on those shelves! My favorite place to get fresh produce is Sprouts. They usually have better deals than our regular grocery store, and are much much cheaper than Whole Foods or Trader Joes!

• 1 green apple, cored + cut into pieces
• 1 handful kale or spinach
• 1 cup plain coconut yogurt
• 1 kiwi, sliced
• 1 cup frozen pineapple
• 1/2 cup frozen mango
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
I have to say, I really LOVE this blender! It blends so quickly and doesn’t leave weird clumps in the corners. I’ve tried so many blenders in my day and this one has to be my favorite. It also comes with single serving cups that you can blend in & then drink straight from! Ours was a wedding gift but I believe this is the exact one.
